LCDS was established in North Edmonton in 1972 by a group of parents who wanted an early learning program in their community for their young children. We are a Parent Cooperative program and a registered not-for-profit organization established under the Societies Act of Alberta.

LCDS has been serving the Edmonton community for over 50 years!

LCDS Preschool & Kindergarten respectfully acknowledges that we reside on Treaty 6 territory, currently known as Edmonton, historically called Beaver Hills House or Amaskwaciy, or Waskahikan. This is a traditional gathering place for diverse Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Ojibway, Saulteaux, Anishinaabe, Inuit, and many others whose histories, languages, and cultures continue to influence our vibrant community.
